Characteristics

PCDR/PCGR probe processor board is designed to be installed in the chassis of PCD-R navigation probes and PCG-R gamma logging of Halliburton Sperry Sun MWD-650 downhole tool.

The board implements the following functions:

  • provision of probe sensors information reception and processing

  • performing of sensor readings correction operations according to calibration tables and

  • initial tie-in values

  • performing of indicators calculation

  • support of communication protocol with other modules as part of the telemetry system

  • performing of metrics conversion to compress data before their transmission to the surface

  • generation of an electronic signal to control the pulsator mechanism for data transmission to the surface.
